Service and tool features

Designed for practical Amazon seller decisions.

The service supports sellers who need analytical help before launching, repricing, or reviewing an Amazon SKU. The calculator is one tool inside the broader Urban Segment Amazon growth workflow.

Fee and margin estimates

Estimate referral fees, fulfillment fees, total fees, and net profit based on proposed selling price and product attributes.

Product physicals

Capture weight, length, width, and height to help sellers understand dimensional weight and size-tier risk before final margin review.

ASIN and Seller SKU analysis

Support ASIN and Seller SKU identifiers for authorized Amazon Product Fees API estimates when seller authorization is available.

Pricing decision support

Compare proposed price points against estimated fee burden and target profitability thresholds.

Sandbox validation

Use Amazon Selling Partner API sandbox mode during development and review before production access is enabled.

Seller reporting

Reporting can include watched SKU snapshots, price-change notes, margin risk flags, and plain-English analytical summaries.

Functionality

How sellers use the tool.

1. Enter product details

The seller or Urban Segment operator enters target selling price, ASIN or Seller SKU, product dimensions, and weight.

2. Request fee estimate

The server-side application requests fee estimate data through authorized Amazon Selling Partner API endpoints. Credentials and tokens are not exposed in the browser.

3. Review margin impact

The seller reviews estimated fees, net profit, size-tier indicators, and pricing implications with Urban Segment support before making listing or pricing decisions.

Data use and security

Built with server-side credential handling.

Urban Segment uses Amazon Selling Partner API data only to provide authorized seller analytics, fee-estimation functionality, and related agency support. The application does not sell Amazon data or expose seller tokens in client-side code.

Server-side credentials

SP-API credentials, refresh tokens, and OpenAI API keys are stored server-side in environment variables and are not embedded in public HTML or JavaScript.

Least-necessary access

The application requests only the API access needed to provide seller analytics, fee estimates, and related reporting features.

Review status

The current application is in sandbox/development review. Production use depends on Amazon approval and seller authorization.
